To my lovely readers, I hope that you are having a fantastic day. I am so blessed to have you all following my characters and my writing journey. Its been long one.

Writing has always been a passion of mine, however I wasn’t born with a laptop in hand, rather my imagination took hold. Boredom, when I had a moment of silence, (being the second of five kids,) I would easily retreat into my mind. Being able to play movies of my making in my head allowed me to develop story lines and characters. Of course these daydreaming sessions did get in the way of school at time, but math was never my forte anyways, and C’s get degrees.

Throughout my scholarly years I obtained a bachelor’s in Biological forensics, became a volunteer doula, traveled as a military spouse, and had my first of three amazing children. The one consistent was writing, although at that time it was in notebooks I often lost. I finally decided then, in the midst of yet another move, this time to Colorado, I would become consistent with writing.

I pulled inspiration from books I loved growing up, from Ellen Hopkins, to more taboo writers such as V.C Andrew’s, I took my love of horror, thrillers, spice, and drama and it culminated itself on two characters. Laurel Catherine, and Micah Christopher were born, paying homage to Halloween and Flowers In the Attic, ( some of my favorites).

I put my heart, soul, and found catharsis creating and absolutely obliterating Laurel and Micah. Throughout the four years it took me to write ¾ of the Ambivalence Quartet I released a lot of my own flaws, past hurts, and desires.

Although I have a lot more I want to write with plans of a shifter series, and a fantasy series, along with a dark romance trope compilation, Laurel and Micah will forever have the largest portion of my heart, because on so many ways they are an extension of myself, flaws and all. They established the foundation of who I am as M.Day.Kendall.

To anyone who wants to delve into the darker side of things, who loves their spice, poetry, drama, prose, and just absolutely wants to feel when they’re reading I thought of you. I did not hold back, and although my characters are fictional, they share experiences so many people have had, and those stories deserve to be told.

For all my readers, dedicated or new, I absolutely appreciate you, and can’t wait to give you the story you never knew you needed.
